Speech & Debate Teams Qualifies 10 for State Tournament

Congratulations to our 2025 Tusky Valley speech team state qualifiers! The Tusky Valley team placed 6th in the district out of 20 schools. State qualifiers will be heading to Austintown Fitch High school February 27-March 1. Two students prequalified through the state bid system, Kylie Daum in Humor and Alison Ernst in Informative.

Murphy Named TVHS Student of the Month

The January Student of the Month is senior Aaron Murphy. Aaron is a senior and the child of Mark & Tammy Murphy. Aaron’s school activities include being a member of the TVHS marching band, the boys’ soccer team and the Hope Squad. Aaron’s hobbies include working out and playing video games. After graduation, Aaron plans to study information systems at the University of Akron.

Wiseman Named January Athlete of the Month

The January 2025 Athlete of the Month is senior Tyler Wiseman. Tyler is the son of Thomas and Jennifer Wiseman. Tyler is a member of the TVHS soccer and wrestling teams. This December, Tyler earned his 100th career victory becoming just the 12th wrestler in school history to reach 100 wins. Tyler’s hobbies include playing video games, listening to audiobooks and hanging out with family. After graduation, Tyler plans to attend Kent State University through ROTC and enlist in the Air Force.

Blackwell Named January Fine Arts Student of the Month

The January Fine Arts Student of the Month is senior Aster Blackwell. Aster is the child of Kassi Snyder. Aster plays the clarinet as a member of the TVHS band and a member of the TVHS Pep Club. Aster’s hobbies include making art, reading, doing puzzles & spending time with friends. After graduation, Aster plans to attend Ohio University and pursue a degree in music education.

Barr Signs with Muskingum University

TVHS Students Perform in Tuscarawas Philharmonic Spotlight Series

Congratulations to our TVHS students who performed at the Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas as part of the Tuscarawas Philharmonic Spotlight Series. TVHS had 3 soloist performance with Jayden Copen on trumpet, Aster Blackwell on clarinet and Xander Tidrick on trombone. The TVWW Quartet also performed with Aster Blackwell and Brynn Goedel on clarinet and Sarah Reynolds and Emma Zaugg on flute.

Ernst Qualifies for State Speech Tournament

Congratulations to TVHS senior Allison Ernst as placed 3rd in Informative Speaking and earned her 4th bid of the season at Saturday's Stow Speech & Debate Tournament. With her 4th bid, Ernst has now qualified for the 2025 State Tournament. Congratulations Allison!

December TVHS Student of the Month - Emma Zaugg

The December Student of the Month is senior Emma Zaugg. Emma is the daughter of Nick and Kelie Zaugg. Emma is a member of the TVHS marching and pep bands, drama crew and National Honor Society. Her hobbies include reading, making art, listening to music & spending time with friends and family. After graduation, Emma plans to attend West Liberty University and major in Creative Arts Therapy.

December Fine Arts Student of the Month - Felicity Kline

The December Fine Arts Student of the Month is senior Felicity Kline. Felicity is the daughter of Adam Kline. Felicity’s school activities include Spanish, art and being a member of the girls’ soccer team. In her free time, Felicity enjoys reading, playing video games, soccer, writing, drawing and painting. After graduation, Felicity plans to go to attend the University of Akron.
