Why Do I Serve on the Board of Education?
“I serve on the Tuscarawas Valley Local School Board because I’ve always wanted ALL children to receive the best education we can possibly give them. What I enjoy most about serving on the TV Board is participating in the graduation ceremony!”
“I serve on the TV Board because I believe in education and love kids. It’s my desire to help in any way possible to provide the children of our school district the opportunity to get the very best education possible. What I enjoy most about serving on the TV Board is the shared vision and commitment to excellence I see in each of our members as well as in the personal and professional lives of our superintendent and treasurer. What I find exciting is that this same vision/commitment of excellence is also shared by our teachers and staff making in my opinion, Tusky Valley just an outstanding school district.”
“I enjoy being a part of providing new and improved educational opportunities for all our students K-12. I enjoy hearing about and seeing student successes throughout the year as they reach for new educational goals.”
“I serve on the TV Board because I believe every child deserves the right to quality education, that the community deserves fiscal responsibility, and the employees deserve our commitment and support to help them achieve these goals.”
"I serve on the TV Board to be a representative for the community who wants to see Tusky Valley thrive in both academics and sports programs. My experience, as a parent of students and active member of the community, positions me to understand the strengths of Tusky Valley as well as where we can improve and offer input in those areas. I most enjoy serving on the TV Board for the partnership of other board members, administration, and staff and the many ways we make Tusky Valley excellent."

The Tusky Valley School Board is important because without them our school wouldn’t be as organized or have some of the great things we have as a school. They make important decisions, such as funding. Without them, I most likely wouldn’t have one of my favorite classes, engineering. The people on the board are also very generous. I know this first hand because the engineering class received donated money in order to purchase new tools and even a toolbox to store them in. I really do appreciate everything they do for us. Without them this school would likely be very different. Thank you Tusky Valley School Board.

The Tusky Valley school board is important because it is comprised of individuals who understand our needs as students of the district. Parents of students and other involved members of the community that participate in the meetings can offer various perspectives on how to effectively educate today’s youth. Communication in any project, conference, or team is the key to success. Our board has used that motto and gone above and beyond in regards to both expressing their carefully cultivated points and keeping the district’s best interests at the core of their discussions. They focus on topics of vital relevance to the functionality of the schools, and without their passion for the quality of education, Tusky Valley wouldn’t be what it is today.
