The cagers overcame losses to win huge games against tough foes this season. The Trojans' overall record ended 8-14 and their 5-7 PAC record gave them a fifth place finish.

The turning point for the Trojans was a 65-60 upset over PAC rival Manchester. "My favorite moment of the season was when we beat Manchester at home because it was the first time we had beaten them since 1991," said sophomore Eric Shuman. Then, the cagers defeated Sandy Valley on senior Ben Everhart's buzzer shot. Later, the cagers avenged a prior loss to Tuslaw by defeating them 66-56. The Trojans then went on to defeat heavily favored Coventry. "After losing to Coventry at home, we want there and beat them 63-50 with only five players. This victory showed we could play with anyone in the PAC and led us into the tournament with a positive attitude,"commented sophomore Zach Fait.

The Trojans capitalized on the momentum by defeating regular season rival Sandy Valley in the first tournament game. Finally, the Trojans encountered a strong Newcomerstown team, and they played one of their best games of the season. However, Newcomerstown's front court was too much for the cagers, and they suffered a hard fought 54-59 defeat.
