Trojans Fall to Midvale For Second Loss of Season

Lonnie Fulp led Midvale as he accounted for 26 of the 32 points and amassed 203 yards of offense as the Blue Devils got their first victory against Tusky Valley at the Tiger Stadium. The victory brings Midvale's record to 1-4-1 while the Trojans are now 3-2 on the season.

Larry Hiller kicked off the scoring in the first quarter as he capped a 56-yard drive and a 3-yard touchdown run. Fulp later broke loose for a 60-yard touchdown giving the Blue Devils a 12-0 lead. There wasn’t much excitement in the second quarter as it was scoreless and Midvale took a 12-0 lead to halftime.

The excitement would pick up in teh second half as Fulp raced 79 yards for a third period tally. He would add two touchdowns in the final frame with runs of 48 and 16 yards. Tusky Valley's Walt Deubner beat the Midvale defenders for 35 and 9 yard touchdown run for the Trojans in the third and fourth quarters. Tusky Valley's Jerry Pullins added an extra point to make the final score 32-13 Midvale.
