The Tusky Valley Trojans picked up their second victory in school history as they easily defeated Roscoe by a score of 48-7 on Friday night at Strasburg's Franklin Field.
The Trojans scored 14 points in the opening quarter using a strong running game with runs of 21 yards by Wayne Rouf and 40 yards by Walt Deubner setting up a Deubner one-yard plunge for a 7-0 Tusky Valley lead. The Trojans then scored a special teams' touchdown to extend their lead to 14-0 as Henry Cochran scored on a 47 yard punt return for a touchdown.
Tusky Valley added two more scores in the second quarter as Joe King found the end zone on an 18-yard run and a Jerry Pullins scored on 35 yard interception return to make it 27-7 Tusky Valley at halftime.
The Trojans added two more touchdowns in the third quarter as Rouf sprinted 18 yards for a score and Pullins scored his second touchdown of the night with a 13 yard run. The Trojan defense also got on the scoreboard in the third period as the Trojans sacked Roscoe quarterback Larry Wright in the end zone for a safety to push the lead to 42-7.
The Trojans added one final touchdown in the fourth quarter on Mike Widder's touchdown run.
The Trojans ran for 278 yards on the night while allowing 145 to Roscoe.
