In our third year of varsity football at T.V.H.S., the Trojans went on to become the co-champions of Tuscarawas Valley Football Conference. The season's record was 7 wins and 1 loss. Our three-year record is 17 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie. With two seniors graduating, Pete Everly, guard and captain, Jerry Pullins, F.B., who scored 199 points in three-years of competition, our future looks bright with 14 returning letterman.

In the season's opener at Newcomerstown, the Trojans took a 18-6 victory home in a hard-fought contest with J. Pullins scoring 2 T.D.'s and H. Mason chipping in with one, on a beautiful 78-yard kick-off return.

Malvern was the next to feel the sharpness of the Trojans sword with a 50-0 victory. Mason's T.D.'s led the attack. Strasburg was the next opponent, and before a capacity crowd, the mighty Trojans fell to the on-coming Tigers. Leading 16-0 at half-time, the Tigers put on a second-half rally of 3 T.D.'s and 20 points for the victory. Conotton Valley was the next victory (26-8), with R. Lake climaxing a brilliant evening with 3 T.D's and H. Mason one. St. Joe then fell to the tune of 20 to 6. Then Midvale, who was undefeated in conference play, was defeated by T.V. , 6-0 in a bitterly-fought contest at Midvale with R. Cropper taking a M. Widder pass for 22-yards and the only score. Tuscarawas, who was the only school to defeat us last year, was T.V.'s next victim with a 32-6 revenge-victory. It was the best team effort of the season, Mason and Pullins scoring 2 T.D.'s each and B. Huth one. West Lafayette, our last opponent of the season, was submerged, 19-0 with R. Copper scoring 2 T.D.'s and Mason one.
