The 1960 football season at T.V.H.S. was the first undefeated season for the charges of Coach Ed Baran. With the aid of 13 lettermen, T.V.H.S rolled to 8 wins and 1 tie. The four-year record was 26 wins, 5 losses, and 2 ties.

The first game ended in a 12-12 tie with Dalton. Struder scored on a 70-yard T.D. run and Cropper, on a pass from Widder. The first victory was over West Lafayette, 24-6, with Struder, Cropper, and Widder scoring. Next to fall to the Trojans were the Tuscarawas Broncos, 34-0. Huth scored on a 50-yard touchdown pass from Widder. Cropper, Widder, and Lake each scored 2 T.D.'s Conotton Valley was next to feel the sting of the mighty Trojans, 42-6, with Lake pacing the attack with 3 T.D.'s, Struder with 2, and Cropper with 1. Struder and Lake both scored on 70-yard pass and run T.D.'s.

Midvale fell 42-10 with little trouble for the high-flying Trojans. Struder brought over 3 touchdowns, Lake 2, and Cropper 1. The arch-rival Strasburg felt the mighty power of the Trojan Warriors, 24-6. Cropper led the way with 3 T.D.'s, one on an 88-yard jaunt. Lake scored 1 T.D. Malvern was the next victim in a 34-6 contest. Cropper scored 2 touchdowns, Lake, 2, and Struder, 1. St. Joseph's succumbed to the all-conquering Trojans, 36-6, with Cropper scoring 2 T.D.'s, Lake, 2, and Struder, 1.

The last game was Homecoming against our neighbor, Sandy Valley; and being the good neighbor that we are, we trounced S.V. to the tune of 30-0. Lake scored 2 touchdowns, Kimg, 1, and Mason, 1. This was indeed a fitting climax to a near-perfect season.

The line of the Trojans, which was the best in the county, consisted of: ENDS - Huth and King, TACKLES - Staley, Solvey, and Christman, GUARDS - Carmer and Burkhart, and CENTER - Ferren
