The 1980-81 fighting Trojans started their season with an explosive win over arch rival Tuscarawas Central Catholic with a score 23-7. Continuing their season, the Trojans ran into some difficulty after being defeated in a grueling battle against Sandy Valley. They bounced right back, winning over Smithville by a score of 16-7.

The Trojans, under the leadership of two senior co-captains, Dave Deubner and Jake Miller, experienced their first All Ohio Conference victory in four years after conquering West Holmes 3-0. The Trojans can hold their heads high and be proud for bringing spirit and enthusiasm to TV High.
