The 1981 football team ended their season with a 3-7 record overall and 2-3 in the tough All Ohio Conference. The Trojans were led first year head coach John Hurst. A highlight of the season was a big win over previously unbeaten Smithville, 10-8. This victory gave the Trojans enough momentum to tally 19 points in the last seven minutes of the game to nip the Fairless Falcons 19-17 the following week. The Trojans finished up the season with a strong showing against Triway in which the Trojans were victorious, 20-6. Special congratulations to Mike Edwards for breaking several T.V. passing records including most yards in a single game (250 yards against Tuslaw) this past season.
