Football '88 was a memorable season that saw Tusky Valley finishing 7-3, the best since '77. The team finished second place in the Senate League only behind the powerful Minvera Lions. "It was rewarding to watch this team improve over the last two years, both on and off the field," Coach Dave Tucci remarked.

Besides improving on '87's mark, the team started the season 5-0 and finally had a long- awaited homecoming win, this year against Claymont.

"The strength for the season was the senior leadership at the skilled positions (QB, RB's, WR's) and the steady improvement of the young offensive and defensive lines. Lack of depth was our greatest weakness," Tucci stated.

"Our seniors showed great leadership and blended well with our younger players. It really showed during the time of adversity. I feel that each player and a person, during his experiences of our 7-3 season," he added.
