Below is an excerpt from the yearbook
The Trojan football team had a record of 6-4 (1-4 in the PAC) this year. With a couple new teams in their schedule, the Trojans were faced with a few new playing situations. One big change was traveling to Canton to play at Fawcett Stadium. Scott Parker said, "Playing in such a big stadium under the lights was amazing." The season started strong with wins over Canton South, Indian Valley, Garaway, Timken, and Triway.
However, they fell short against four PAC teams in the second half of the season but finished strong with a victory over rival Sandy Valley.
Senior Wes Boggs commented on the season, "The most memorable thing for me was my game winning kick against Garaway with no time on the clock. Our team played great!" After receiving a second chance because of a penalty, Wes kicked a thirty three yard field goal to give the Trojans a surprise 22-21 victory.
Senior Michael Martini stated, "Our record does not show how much improvement we made. It was a good season for the whole team."
