Below is an excerpt from the yearbook
With superior coaching by John Hurst, the 1984-85 Varsity Girls team ended their season with a 7-13 season record and a 7-7 conference record. Co-Captains Molly Maher and Andrea Beans contributed much enthusiasm and encouragement to lead their team victoriously. The team had much returning experience as well as fresh young enthusiasm.
At the Winter Sports Banquet the outstanding players were recognized. Andrea Beans was named the Best Offensive Player, had the Most Rebounds and received a 4-Year Lettermen Plaque. Shonda Chumney was voted the Best Defensive Player while Molly Maher had the Most Assists, and Jayna DiGenova had the Best Free Throw Percentage. Debbie McNutt was the most Improved Player.
