With a strong nucleus of returning lettermen, the girls finished their regular season with an excellent record of 16-4. They placed second in the PAC-7 with a 9-3 ledger. The girls fell short, however, losing their first tournament game to rival foe Indian Valley in a close, hard fought battle.

"Overall, I feel that we had a pretty good season. We had a pretty good season. We lost a few close games that we could have won. I also think that we were better than our record indicated," commented senior Jennifer Levengood.

"The girls worked hard each night at practice and despite a few close losses, had an excellent season. I was a bit disappointed about the tournament, but overall, the season was an exciting one," added Coach John Hurst. New to the coaching staff was assistant varsity and head reserve coach Kim Black. Coach Black led the reserves to a 12-8 record.

"Having Coach Black around helped out me a lot. She took over for me when I was absent and really did a good job. She also did a nice job with the reserve team," Coach Hurst ended.

Post-season awards went to Ashli Beans (sr.), Best Offensive Player, Most Rebounds, 1st Team District 5, HM All-State, 1st Team All-Conference; Laurie Bowers (sr.), Best Foul Shooter, Co-Best Defensive Player; Krista Shellock (sr.), Coach's Award; Tennille Burkhart (soph.), Most Improved, Jenn Levengood (sr.), Co-Best Defensive Player.
