Below is an excerpt from the yearbook:
Despite the competition, the young soccer team performed extremely well for their second year as an organized sport. The team posted a 7-11 record over-all en route to the school's first successful win in tournament play.
"For only the second season in school history, I think it went very well. It was difficult at times, considering the number of players we lost from last year, but with most of the teams more experienced than we were, we learned to work with each other and help each other out," commented Brian Richesson.
"Everyone worked together well and our team really came together well and our team really came together towards the end of the season. We also did well in the tournaments winning our first game. It was exciting and great to work with those guys. Give them a year or two and Tusky Valley will be a powerhouse in this sport," said Aaron Salapack.
"We continued our strategy of playing mostly teams that were more experienced which increased our basic skill level. This should become increasingly evident in future years, particularly against new teams and teams from new schools of our size. Most of the schools were larger than us, and had more experience," remarked second year coach Ed Cramer.
Post Season Awards: Aaron Salapack (sr.), Best Offensive Player; Terry Nill (jr.), Best Defensive Player; Bill Angione (jr.), Most Improved Player; Brian Richesson (jr.), Coach's Award.
