Unbelievable? Unbelievable! New coach Joe Pavlek, coming to us with several years of experience as a player for the Canton Invaders and the Cleveland Crunch, commented, "When I came to the team, all I had hoped for was to get past the first round. We did that and a lot more. We are an unbelievable team."

With grueling two-a-day August practices behind them, the soccer team hosted and booted Canton South for an opening day victory.

Then the situation turned grim. In their first 11 games, the team stood at 1-7-3, but steadily improved going into the tournament play at 4-8-4.

In tourney play the team took on St. Clairesville and Maysville, winning both games. The booters beat Maysville with Nick Winter's triple OT penalty shot. "It felt great to know that I helped the team go farther in the tourney," said Nick.

In the third round, TV met the Number 1 seed River View and took a 3-1 defeat.

Another addition to the soccer team was exchange student Eduardo Fonseca. Coming to us from Brazil, Eduardo commented, "I just wanted to do my best and give some wins to the team."
