Below is an excerpt from the yearbook

The Tuscarawas Valley High School girls' softball team finished the season with a league record of 8-7 and an overall record of 13-11. The head coach was Tim Albrecht and his assistant coach was Willard Himes.

The team had many to fill many positions that were previously held by seniors. There were six seniors on this year's team. They were Carrie Lee (LF), Dani Poulson (3B), Courntey Goudy (RF), Marissa Bour (1B), Shavonne Edie (C/SS), and Megan Hough (CF/Pinch Runner). There were also four juniors who were a very important part of this year's team. They were Sarah Seward (CF), Erin McNutt (DH/SS), Meridith Bour (P) and Cortney Whitehair (C/DH/RF). There were also three sophomoes that were a help to the team. They were Allison Goudy (2B), Carrie McKinney (P/SS), and Kristen Holdsworth.

This year's team had a chance to place second in the PAC-7. This dream was lost when they were defeated by Fairless 4-11 (Tusky had beaten them twice before 11-9 & 4-2).

The team beat Ridgewood in the tournament 8-4 before falling to Indian Valley in the second tournament game 2-4. They had also beaten Indian Valley earlier in the season 10-0.
