The 1984 volleyball teams underwent some changes with both varsity and reserve receiving new coaches. Sandra Douglas took charge of the varsity with Carol Miller taking the helm of the reserves. Both squads gained valuable experience that will be helpful for next season.

The varsity ended with a 3-19 record overall, with a 2-12 mark in the Senate League. The varsity beat Dover coming from behind for their only non-conference win. They beat East Canton and Tuslaw decisively, in the Senate League.

In the Sectional Tournament, the varsity lost to West Holmes. However, the girls and their coach were proud of the spirit and of their play against one of the better volleyball teams in Ohio.
