Below is an excerpt from the yearbook:

Trojan spikers came out swinging, winning their first five games before falling to Tuscarawas Central Catholic. By the time they reached the District finals, they had lost only five games, but despite their winning record, Buckeye Trail managed to ruin the season for the Trojan hitters beating them 15-5, 15-8 and claiming the District crown.

The Trojans ended up finishing third in the PAC-7, losing to Tuslaw and Indian Valley. For the third time in four years, the girls finished as Sectional champs and District Runner-up.

"The girls worked really hard to bring their level of playing up to where it was last year. Buckeye Trail played a caliber of ball we had not yet seen, and their advancement made preparing difficult," said Coach Jodi Weinhardt. "Everyone was really psyched for tournaments, though maybe a little too nervous. Playing Buckeye Trail, our biggest rival, made the team very apprehensive," said senior Co-captain Tennille Burkhart. Post -season awards went to Tennille Burkhart (sr.), 2nd Team PAC-7, Best Offensive Player; Kristen Koehlinger (sr.), Coach's Award ; Stephanie Selinsky (sr.), 1st Team PAC-7, Best Server, Dani Fishley (jr.), 1st Team PAC-7, Best Defensive Player, Kelly Gehring (soph.) HM PAC-7, Most Improved Player.

What was the most tense and emotional game of the season for you?

Missy Levengood- "The Buckeye Trail game was the most tense for me. Everyone was jittery because of this team's reputation and their undefeated record over us."

Kristen Koehlinger- "The most emotional game I have ever played was my last home game as a senior."

Michele Gehring- "The pressure was the strongest in my first game playing varsity. I had a lot of expectations from the coaches to live up to as well as my own personal goals."

Carrie Ragon - "Tuslaw was an emotional game foe Reserve because it was a really close game and even though we worked hard, they still beat us."
