Below is an excerpt from the yearbook:

The Lady Trojans had a successful season with an 18-5 record. In this triumphant year, the netters reached the district playoffs, a landmark never before achieved. Many things contributed to the greatest season, but the most important factors of the year was senior leadership, power, and strength. These characteristics, along with fantastic coaching, helped the girls win key contests such as the game against undefeated Manchester and the district playoff win against Ridgewood.

Playing with maximum effort was a key to winning valuable games. Mates such as the playoff game against Ridgewood showed that the team could get the win when they ha the fierce desire for it.

Using techniques that gave them an edge over the opponents, the ladies prove to be the most successful volleyball team ever assembled.

"Reaching and winning the district playoff was definitely the highlight of the season. I was very pleased with the outcome of the season overall," said sophomore Jessica Wigfield.

All in all the season was one of the most spectacular performances by the Trojans. The girls played well throughout the year and met and exceeded everybody's expectations.

Post-season awards went to: Mindi Lieser(sr.) Co-Outstanding Hitter, Mimi Merrill(sr.) Co-Outstanding Hitter; Sara Lundenberger (soph.) Outstanding Setter; Mimi Merrill(sr.) Outstanding Blocker; Kristine Himes, Miss Defense; Staci Martin, Coaches Award; Sara Lundenberger, Top Scorer; Courtney Selden, J.V. MVP.
