The Tusky Valley softball team fell to 0-3 on the young season as they fell to the Sandy Valley Cardinals on Thursday night at Tusky Valley High School.

The Cardinals scores a run in the top of the first inning to take an early lead and then added four more runs in the top of the second inning to extend their lead to 5-0. After adding another run in the top of third, the Trojans exploded for five runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to take a 16-0 victory in a five-inning game.

The Cardinals pounded out 15 hits on the day while Tusky Valley only had four hits on the night.

The Trojans will be back in action on Monday night when they open PAC play by hosting the Manchester Panthers. First pitch will be at 5:00 PM.
